Prior to prescribing your new contact lenses the team at Buffalo’s Best Opticians will conduct an exam to determine the level of vision correction you require.  Additional procedures are then performed including keratometry or corneal topography to measure the curvature of a patients cornea, tear film evaluation, evaluating the health of the cornea and related structures, and measurements of the pupil and iris. Corneal topography is a non-invasive medical imaging technique for mapping the surface curvature of the cornea, the outer structure of the eye.   We also will discuss any concerns or questions that you may have about contact lenses.  At this point we can provide the appropriate recommendation for what would suit you best.

Soft Contact Lenses:

Soft contact lenses are the most frequently prescribed style of contact lenses because of the fact they are extremely comfortable.  Soft contacts are now available for patients with astigmatism and dry eyes.  Types of soft contact lenses include:
